How To Look At Art at Richmond Library

Thursday 16 May 2019

The Suter Art Gallery’s Curator Sarah McClintock reveals the trick to really appreciating an art work in her interactive How To Look At Art talk taking place at Richmond Library this month.

“There’s so much more to an art work than how it looks,” Sarah says, “Once we start thinking about why the art work was made, for whom and when, in what context, a whole new world of understanding opens up.”

In her second How To Look At Art talk of 2019, Sarah will again bring a mystery item from The Suter Art Gallery’s permanent collection to Richmond Library for a special one hour session of art appreciation.

Join us at Richmond Library from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Wednesday 29 May for this exciting journey into understanding and appreciating art.

It’s free and everyone is welcome. Bookings are not required.
