Voices From The Past

Monday 17 June 2019

Helen Pannett, Nelson Provincial Museum’s Archives and Research Curator, will be visiting Richmond Library to share some of the museum’s oral histories of the 1929 Murchison earthquake.

Nelson Provincial Museum holds more than 850 recordings in its oral history collection. These have now been digitised, making them more available than ever before.

Listen to the voices of people talking about their experiences of the 1929 Murchison earthquake and gain a special insight into this important aspect of our local history.

Helen Pannett’s talk is at Richmond Library, from 12.00pm-1.00pm on Tuesday 25 June. It’s free to attend and everyone is welcome. Bookings are not required.
