Odyssey on the Go
“The Odyssey” reading rewards programme for 13- 17 year olds is going great guns at Tasman District Libraries.
The programme rewards good reading habits with the chance to win a 10" Portable DVD Player, 4 Apple ipod shuffles and 16 $20 Richmond Mall.
Those enrolled for the Odyssey simply borrow books, fill in a slip when they check in with library staff about their reading progress and they’re in the weekly prize draw to win a $20 voucher.
Those that have read 5 books by the time the programme ends on July 28, go into the major prize draw. The Odyssey is running in all Tasman Libraries, Motueka, Murchison, Richmond and Takaka.
Children’s Librarian Lucy Brunwin says, “The support from The Community Trust and Friends of the Tasman District Libraries is invaluable in helping us run this programme. With the great prizes we’ve secured we look forward to it being even more popular than last year.”
